GEL BATTERY FEATURES

Higher charge&discharge performance
£¨1£© Excellent Deep discharge cycle performance. The capacity can be 100% recovered by supplementary charge on time after deep discharge. It can adapt to the needs of higher frequency and deep discharge.So it is more widely used than lead acid battery.
£¨2£© Lower self-discharge. it can use immediately without supplementary charge after stored two years in 20¡æ.
£¨3£© High large current discharge performance with lowest resistance, great charge performance and higher capacity recovery.
£¨4£© High receptivity of electricity: the receptivity electricity reaches 91%.
Long design service life Long service life
The floating charge service life of 12V series is more than 10years,and 2V series is more than 15years£¨25¡À5¡æ£©.
Safety and reliability
(1) Low floating charge current, less calorific power and without leakages of acid occur.
(2) Gel add in electrolyte can make electrolyte gelatinized; the specific gravity in every part of battery is the same, thus preventing the dropping out of activated substances more effectively.
(3) With high - strength AGM to prevent the short ¨C circuit.
(4) Imported high quality vent cap regulate the internal pressure exactly.
(5) Equipped with acid mist removing and anti-explosion device, which will prevent the fire and explosion caused by spark.
More adaptable of environment
£¨1£©Great high and low temperature resistance, can be used within -40¡æ¡«70¡æ.
£¨2£© It is aseismatic and Well adjust to poor working conditions.
£¨3£©Without space limitation and allowed to be operated in any orientation.
Simple operation
Maintenance free operation, no need to add water, no equalizing charge required
environmental protection
Without acid leaked and corrosion, it is easy to recycle and no pollution.

PERFORMANCE

DISCHARGE
1£®Out-off voltage of discharge
The battery should never be discharged to less than the predetermined final voltage. Other wise, over discharge would cause failure to recover capacity, for best efficiency and longest service life, discharge should be within the range of 0.05C to 2C.the final discharge voltage with different current rate as table 1.

2£®Discharge capacity
£¨1£© The relation of discharge capacity and Discharge Current.
The large discharge rate makes the lower capacity (Reference figure 1).

£¨2£© Temperature effect
Capacity of a battery is subjected to the influence of ambient temperature .Too low temperature (below £15¡æ/5¨H.)may reduce the available capacity, too high temperature(over 50¡æ/122¨H.)may bring about thermal run-away and damage the battery (Reference figure2).

CHARGE
1. The operation of floating charge
Charge voltage: 2.25V¡«2.30V/cell,the maximum current should not be larger than 0.4C10¡£ The floating charge current should lower than 2mA /AH.£¨25¡æ£©, please reference figure3.

2. Cycle use
Charge voltage: 2.4V/cell, the maximum current should not be larger than 0.4C10(please reference figure4).

3. Temperature compensation
The chemical reaction speeds up with the increasing of the temperature and reduces speed with the reducing of the temperature. In actual use in indoor applications (5¡«35¡æ),it is not necessary to compensate the charging voltage in order to prevent overcharge or short charge, When the battery¡¯s operated at lower than 5¡æor higher than 35¡æ,it is recommended to compensate the charging voltage as specified below. the recommended compensation factor for stand by(floating charge) is -3mv/¡æ/cell,cycle service is -4mv/¡æ/cell (the temperature compensation shall be made at the basis of 25¡æ,which is the standard center point for the battery). please reference figure 5.

4. Charge time
For standby use: usually, the full recharge time is no less than 24 hours after discharging. For cycle use: it could calculate the necessary recharge time as follow if we know the last discharge capacity and initial charge current.
A. (When the discharge current ¡Ý0.25C)
Cdis
Tch = I +3¡«5
B. (When the discharge current £¼0.25C)
Cdis
Tch = I +6¡«10
Notes:£º
Tch = Time of full recharge (h)
Cdis = Last discharge capacity (Ah)
I = the large initial charge current (A)

SERVICE LIFE
1. The mainly factors of shortening the service life of a battery:
A. Repetition of deep discharge;
B. Deep discharge after repeating shallow charge;
C. High ambient temperature
D. Overcharge, especially for trickle charge.
E. Excessively large charging current
F. Long time Storage (especially in the high temperature).
2. Service life of cycle use
The life of battery is effected by the deepness of discharging ,temperature of environment and method of charging (please reference figure6).

3. Service life of floating charge
The lifetime of floating charge is effected by discharge voltage and temperature of environment (please reference 7-8).

CAPACITY RETENTION
1£® Self-discharge
(1) The battery will reduce the capacity and be in a state of discharge after long-term store. It called discharge, and it is ineluctably even the whole new battery which was never be used. The reason as follow:
A. Chemical factor:
Pbso4 produced by PbO2(positive plate¡¯s activated substances) and Pb(negative plate¡¯s activated substances) to H2so4 (electrolysis)£¬ in fact ,this chemical reaction is self-discharge process.
B. Electrochemistry factor:
Self-discharge cause by Oxidation - reduction reaction of impurity.
The self-discharge of Sinonteam battery is very low because of little impurity. The characteristic of self-discharge as figure 9.

£¨2£©The relation of self-discharge and storage temperature (reference figure10).

2£®Open circuit voltage
We also can judge the residuary capacity from the open circuit voltage (reference figure11).

STORAGE
(1) The battery should be stored in the low temperature, dry, ventilated and clean environment, Keep it with full charge, and recharge it per3-6 months. Keep away from fire and heat source£¬ avoid direct sunlight.
(2) Do not leave the battery in a discharged condition, please recharge it immediately after discharge.
(3) Sometimes, supplementary recharge shall be repeated until capacity has recover to pre-storage capacity
(4) Equalizing charge the battery to recover the capacity when the open circuit voltage is below 12.63V£¨25¡æ£©.
(5) Low temperature allows the battery to be stored for longer period. For example, storing battery at ambient temperature 15¡æ,or below humidity, clean and out of sunlight will give a shelf life of 12months before supplementary charge.
